2012 has been a very exciting year for Community Home Care. We expanded the rural areas we serve, welcomed the Nebraska Panhandle area to the CHC family, and continued to keep our company goal in mind, providing caring services to individuals who need assistance. We are very thankful for all of our wonderful, caring, and professional caregivers. Without our caregivers we wouldn't be able to help all of the people that we currently do.
The Nebraska Panhandle area Community Home Care has been busy marketing. Keep your eyes open for the new billboard they put up and the TV commercial coming soon! They have also partnered with Veterans Care Coordination, look for more information on that program on our blog soon.
Looking forward to 2013, we have some exciting news to announce. Beginning in January, we will begin offering services to the Lincoln, NE, area. Also, we are moving to a different suite (206) in our office building effective 1/1/13. Our new address will be:
1919 South 40th Street, Suite 206
Lincoln, NE 68506
We look forward to all of the excitement, challenges, and happiness that the new year will bring us!
The last few months have been very busy for Community Home Care! We have been working very hard to help our Panhandle location get off to a successful start and believe that we will continue to see a growing need for our services in that area. We are also focusing more of our marketing efforts in York, Nebraska, and hope to be of assistance to more individuals soon.
November is National Family Caregiver Month. We would like to commend everyone that is currently or has in the past taken care of a family member or friend. It can sometimes be an exhausting and unappreciated task. Community Home Care is here to help give family caregivers a break from their care giving duties and provide respite care.
In honor of family caregivers, Community Home Care wanted to share a couple tips for those sharing their hearts and time to those in need:
1. Think of yourself too. Make sure to take time to keep yourself healthy and relax when needed. Remember, you are only human.
2. Find others to help as well. If available, ask family and friends close to the person you are caring for to help out when you are unavailable. This will not only help relieve some of the stress put on you, but will also help the individual being cared for to see more people periodically.
We are excited to welcome a new location, Scottsbluff, to the areas we serve! The Scottsbluff location will be opening soon and is currently taking applications for caregivers. They will be serving the whole panhandle area of western Nebraska. To contact the area manager Mary Mumm, please email her at: mary.mumm@mycommunityhomecare.com, or call us at our toll-free number 855-402-CARE(2273) for more information.
July is National Sandwich Generation Month. Click on this link to find a library full of resources for those family caregivers who are taking care of both their elderly parents and their children. http://www.sandwichgenerationmonth.com/library.php
The burden of caregiving placed on the Sandwich Generation can be stressful when family caregivers already have so many daily responsibilities. Community Home Care is here for families just like yours. We provide the extra support needed for family caregivers so that families can spend more quality time with each other. Not only does this allow for more quality time being spent together, it also gives family caregivers temporary relief of duties, giving them the chance to focus on their own well-being.
